I’ve taken the controls once again… time to give it back to the captain of this ship… What was I thinking?

The following comment was a response to a sister’s post… feel free to add on to it or correct me.
>Women are too often suckers for the “I’m sorry” speech or the “I love you” speech or the “I really didn’t mean to hurt you” speech… Women are also suckers for the “nice guy” routine… don’t fall for all those wonderful things guys do or say in the attempt to “sweep you off your feet”… cause men often sweep women off their feet and forget to catch them… Guys evidently act on many instincts…the “chase” is one of the most exciting things for a guy and guys can smell the emotions they’re messing with… so ladies…BEWARE and don’t let your emotions get the better of you! Men are well, too often just busters, especially Asian (Korean) guys who are raised to believe they are the princes and future kings of this world… I am also guilty of this. What to do? Pray and pray and pray… and pray some more and then just say “No” to guys until the appointed time the Lord has prepared…you’ll know when that is… don’t ask when that will be. AND, stick together ladies…help out those gals who allow guys to bring the BS and shut it down with the quickness.
>Guys…we are meant to be more than followers of our male genitalia…which leave us no better than creatures that act on sheer instincts…namely, animals. I am just as guilty as the next male…’cause I suck, too, and I haven’t done enough to help the situation of there being too many of us who “suck”, although most of know better, we don’t act on it. So, what to do? pray and pray and pray…and pray some more… and consider the virtues of what makes a male a real man… ’cause contrary to popular belief, being male does not make you a man. Men, we are equal partners in the future joining of two hearts to become one body, as well as the protectors of our mostly physically weaker partners (there are times when, whoa…a girl can just kick butt), ’cause the Lord knows, women are superior in so many other ways. Guys, let’s not be exploiters of weakness… don’t mess with girls’ emotions… protect them and you’ll end up finding a greater woman inside who in-turn will make you a better man. If you’ve got any intelligence, you would’ve realized this fact and accepted it. I once heard, “Behind every great man is an even greater woman”. So fellas…you want the real deal? Be the real deal. I live my best to be the real deal, too, but falter…so let’s watch out for one another as well.
>I normally don’t write so much as a response…a bit verbose, I know. I may be the subject of some hatred from some guys out there, but that’s all right… it’s ALL good. we’ll sit and chat for a while over Starbucks.
^__^ ha ha ha… life is full of interest.

I had a long conversation with my pastor last night and got home around midnight and I think I finally went to bed around 1:30 AM. It wouldn’t have been so bad except I had to wake up at 3:15 for work and get there by 4:00 AM. I realize I am not superman (I wish I had his muscular build though)… far from it and I can feel my body straining from lack of sleep mostly. Amazingly enough, I am not stressed out, though there exists some pressure to perform well. I tried making the list again to get a better feel for what I’m doing, but it only grows longer, insight eluding me at the moment as to the purpose of my busyness.
1.) working at Starbucks part-time (30+ hours a week) 2.) real estate agent 3.) in the process of starting a company 4.) ministry team: point man for media (newsletter, website, photography, media presentations, etc…) 5.)worship team 6.) young professionals cell group 7.) US Army Reserves 8.) College group meetings 9.) lots of other little things I don’t care to list
things I will be doing in the near future
1.) finishing up last quarter of school at UW 2.) becoming a seminarian next fall 3.) most likely manage a business my parents will start 4.) run my company 5.) China Missions preparation 6.) lots and lots of other FUN things hopefully
I’m learning so many different things, one of which is the role of bridge maker. During my conversation with PR (Pastor Rick), I recalled a lady who prayed over me and told me that I was to be a bridge maker… didn’t realize then, but I’m beginning to realize now what that really meant. Honestly, as much as I don’t want to, I ask the Lord, “Why did you pick me to do this?” “Why am I in the middle of things that I don’t think I should be involved in?” Mainly, it’s because I feel like I’m being nosey… the truth is, my pride is getting hurt because I feel I am degrading myself by being nosey… I guess it’s a guy thing… of which, tend to like things cut and dry ^___^
Anyone notice how many “I’s” I used in the last few sentences?
So, someone please tell me to suck it up and stop whining about nothing… you can even tell me to “build a bridge and get over it”

I just received news that a very close friend’s mother passed away last night. She had a stroke about 2 months ago and her health had been declining since. Please keep my friend Aena in your prayers as well as her fiance, Mack. It has been a very difficult time for them, especially for Aena, who could only watch as her mother’s health continued to decline.
if you have time, please keep me in your prayers as well as I was asked to be a pallbearer this coming Saturday at the funeral.
I turned off the music out of respect for her.

Just taking a break from a real estate class… started to just ponder all the things I’m doing right now…admittedly, my plate is very full, but I am “stoked” for God’s hand is in all of it… there’s just no way I could be doing all of this and be this joyful without the Spirit’s mysterious work.
