  • I got on my knees wtih my face to the floor in prayer last night… the first time in a very long time.  It’s quite shameful to admit , but thankfully, God’s emphasis doesn’t fall on shame, only redemption.  It must’ve been around 12:30 am or so and He urged me to pray.  It began with much guilt and telling God that I was “sorry”, on many levels, and continued with the confession of sins… many sins.  If it was any human, he or she would’ve conveyed their disappointment and frustration, but no, God is gracious and gave me only compassion.

I sang a love song to Him afterwards… “I could sing of your love forever…”  God blessed me with such release and freedom… and the gravity of the words flowed from deep within… “I could sing of your love forever.”  I hope my neighbors didn’t get upset with the guitar playing…

Somewhat related and interestingly enough, I had a conversation with a friend about corporate life during lunch yesterday… and how much we hated the institution of brown-nosing to get ahead in the corporate world.  I brought up the question, “do you think it’s pride that makes us hate brown-nosing so much?” and we agreed, “yeah…”  I know there are other aspects that makes corporate life hard, but it’s a big factor.

Pride… what is it about “us” that we grow so full of pride so quickly… more often than not, not realizing how “full of it” we become if we don’t monitor ourselves constantly… but then again, if we humbly present ourselves to our Lord and Savior consistently, He’ll keep our arrogance in check, right?

There’s a fine line between being confident and being a jerk…
I guess it’s a matter of whether it’s His assurance that comes forward or our own measly efforts to impress.
    Dang.. I suck.

…to obey is better than sacrifice.

  • Wow it’s great to see so many fellow Christians here on Xanga, I’ve visited a lot of interesting blogs in these last couple weeks! My boyfriend said I should get a blog, and I’m really glad I checked it out. Please remember no matter what problems you might face in life, Christ is always there for you.

I am trying to offer free Bibles to the world! I get a small amount of money when people click the ads on my page. Overtime this ads up and lets me send out free bibles, so please tell others so I can get more visitors and hopefully raise money for free bibles. Thank you so much!
