  • I hate to admit it but it’s been a slow downhill slide the last couple of months, punctuated by the worst 3 weeks I’ve had thus far this year.    When I say it’s been the worst 3 weeks, it’s all relative; this year has been a phenomenal year of growth and learning as I witnessed the hand of God moving all around me.  Simply AMAZING!

It’s all been quite the humbling experience.  If you’ve received blessings from the Lord [which I’m sure you have], you’d know that I’ve done nothing to have earned any of it and never will.  I must accept the fact that God simply delights in blessing us in abundance.

There are key items that I neglected [I’ve disclosed my poor excuses as well].

    1. I shortened my time spent with God

      1. [because I “thought” I was doing so much for Him, I rationalized that “doing” would make up for the decreased “praying”]

    2. I shortened my time spent with God

      1. [because I “thought” I was doing so much for Him, I rationalized that “doing” would make up for the decreased “praying”]

    3. I shortened my time spent with God

    4. I shortened my time spent with God

    5. I shortened my time spent with God

    Get the point?

I’ve also been reminded… in order to be at my best, I must also take good care of my health.  That means, I’m exercising and eating right [and at the appropriate time], getting enough sleep and staying disciplined in the things that will contribute to my overall good health.  Our bodies are the Temple of God after all.

I’ve forgotten that my physical good health contributes tremendously to increased mental capacity, motivation, focus, will, energy level, passion, discipline, etc., etc., etc.

I’ve still got a long ways to go and so much growing to do… but to be optimistic, let’s just enjoy the journey of getting “there”…wherever “there” may be.

    God is good!

  • God is good! I have to work on taking care of my health too. Eating healthy, sleeping early (which is really hard with three kids), etc. David is working on those things too:)
